Yoga Part 2

The goal of yoga is as varied as the individuals who practice it. Some practice yoga only for the fitness and flexibility aspect, others for the spiritual element. Still others practice yoga because it gives them a sense of all around wellness, it calms the mind, awakens the spirit, and brings the important things in life into focus.

Though the poses and postures you may use in your practice of yoga stays the same, your experience through yoga will evolve and change. Yoga is a great form of exercise, not only for your physical wellbeing, but for your mind and spirit as well. Because yoga is a calm, low impact, exercise, it allows time to relax and let your mind rest. It is the perfect time to meditate on good things.

Yoga is not meant to change any individual, it is meant to bring the individual into total balance between the mind, body, and spirit and universe.
